Overkill or socially prepared?
After jailbreaking my iPhone 4, and adding the tweak Infinifolders, I was able to consolidate my social apps into one folder. Now, after a year of shuffling things around and constantly adding new apps to the folder, I’m wondering if it’s too many.
Here’s a list of the apps in my “Social” folder:
Twitter
Tweetbot
Facebook
Gowalla
LinkedIn
Foodspotting

Why Google+ is the future of social networking
I think Google+ was launched at the appropriate time to succeed. It’s been five years since we’ve seen the launch of a significant social network, and Google+ could reinvigorate the market, which Facebook has dominated.
MySpace was launched in 2003, Facebook and Orkut in 2004 and Twitter in 2006. We haven’t seen the launch of legitimate social networking competitor in that...

Smartphones are the future
I was crazy about disposable cameras as a kid. I must have blown through close to a dozen on my family trip to the Virgin Islands in sixth grade and another seven or eight during our trip to Hawaii. But that all changed once my sister got her first Polaroid i-Zone camera.
The ability to take a picture and instantly show it off — despite it being about 1 square inch — blew my mind. But now,...
Liking Google’s latest product
I don’t know how many times I’ve “liked” something on Facebook. Most of the time it tends to be an awkward picture of someone falling asleep in class or an inside joke about the past weekend’s shenanigans, but for the most part, my “likes” never amount to anything meaningful.
A year after Facebook spread its “like” button around the Web, Google has stepped into the picture with the goal of...

22 was a great year, but I can one up it.
On the verge of my 23rd birthday, it’s hard to put into perspective what has occurred in the past year. Here are some notable events that have taken place since Feb. 26, 2010.
February 27 – An 8.8-magnitude earthquake occurs in Chile, triggering a tsunami over the Pacific and killing 497. The earthquake is one of the largest in recorded history.
March: There were several Keystone Light...

Stopping the "Leak" with an Appology
So a few days ago, Wikileaks leaked a story about US Soldiers in Iraq killing innocent and defenseless civilians. I find it interesting that this leak has sparked a response from the original soldiers who were involved.
I would like to assume that this story was broken solely through Indy Media outlets, and it could potentially go down in history as being so, but I find it interesting that in...

Twitter App Wish list
With the announcement that Blackberry has put their Twitter App into the beta-invite phase, I decided to compile a rough list of what features I look for in an app.
1. Streamlined Interface (If I can’t figure out where to go I could care less about the features)
2. Notifications (I need to be able to change the frequency of notifications and how they are received)
2a. Push Notifications...

Gowalla, Foursquare, Google Buzz...
Which one is going to finally emerge as the so-called “industry standard” and sway to public to completely commit to using their service. Intrigued that Google jumped in on this one, I feel that it’s a way for them to build Google Wave into another service that has a more precise and clear-cut use. I’m using Foursquare, still waiting for Google Buzz…

New developments
Finally, after a seemingly excessive amount of time, I’ve got both the “retweet” and “facebook” buttons working, in addition to adding Disqus comment system to each post. Still wanted to keep the very clean and concise form of the blog, and I believe I accomplished it — even by adding the buttons and comments. More content will begin to be post daily, be it random...
